Graham brings a wealth of experience to the IceCats bench, with more than a decade of coaching across the ECHL, SPHL, USHL, VHL (Russia), and EIHL (United Kingdom). Over his career, he has accumulated more than 300 coaching victories and has earned multiple championships — including a President’s Cup title as a head coach and additional titles in assistant coaching roles at the professional level.
In his dual role, Graham will oversee all on-ice operations, including player recruitment, roster development, and game preparation. Known for his intensity, discipline, and focus on player growth, he is tasked with building a team that reflects the grit and spirit of the Pee Dee region.
“I’m incredibly excited to be part of building something from the ground up here in Pee Dee,” said Graham. “This is a passionate sports region — we’re going to earn the respect of this league and this community one shift at a time.”
As the IceCats’ first Head Coach and General Manager, Gary Graham will be instrumental in shaping the foundation, identity, and long-term success of professional hockey’s return to the Pee Dee.

NICK GRAHAM
Nick Graham is a seasoned Hockey veteran who has worked in several areas of the game. Graham hails from Fort Wayne, Indiana where he began playing Hockey at a young age and continued on with his love of the game since. Graham has worked as Gameday Operations and assistant coaching in the SPHL, has worked as a scout for multiple organizations, has been a co-owner of an extremely successful Hockey Agency, operated multiple junior hockey organizations, and has co-owned and Coached a successful Semi-Professional Hockey Franchise.

Nick and his family are very excited to be a part of the Pee Dee Region and he really looks forward to being a part of bringing Hockey back to the great Pee Dee Region

GLEN STEELE
Glen Steele is a seasoned Hockey Equipment Manager with years of hands-on experience supporting teams across the ECHL and SPHL. Originally from Ottawa, Ontario, Canada, Glen has called Florence, South Carolina home for nearly 30 years. He began his career with the Pee Dee Pride, working under respected mentors David Williams and Tom Thurston, where he developed a deep understanding of the game’s behind-the-scenes demands. Glen later brought his expertise to the SPHL, contributing to team success under Doug Paterson’s leadership. Known for his attention to detail and calm under pressure, Glen brings both Canadian hockey roots and Southern dedication to the rink every day.
