DRAGONS RALLY PAST ICECATS IN OVERTIME
COLUMBUS, GA - The Columbus River Dragons erased a 6-2 third period deficit en route to a 7-6 overtime victory at home on Friday night.
After falling behind 2-0, Columbus scored six straight goals to take a commanding lead, capped by Vadim Frolov's goal just 23 seconds into the third period.
But from there, Columbus' offense caught fire, as Kyle Moore scored twice to complete the hat trick and set up a pair of goals from Tyler Barrow to send the game into overtime. It was there that Kirk Underwood scored 1:59 into the extra session to give Columbus the extra point.
Patriks Marcinkevics scored once in the game and is now tied with Barrow for the FPHL lead in goals at 42 apiece.
The same two teams will rematch Saturday night at 7:05 pm in the regular season finale for both clubs.
