ICECATS ADD SARGENT AHEAD OF FINAL WEEKEND IN COLUMBUS

COLUMBUS, GA - The Pee Dee IceCats announced today the team has signed rookie defenseman Nolan Sargent ahead of the team's final regular season games in Columbus against the River Dragons.

Sargent, 24, has already played three games earlier this season with the Monroe Moccasins, posting no points and two minutes in penalties. If he appears in both weekend games with Pee Dee, he will be playoff eligible under FPHL rules for rookies.

The 6-3, 220-pound rearguard just wrapped up a four-year collegiate career at Fitchburg State University where he was part of the 2024-25 NCAA III MASCAC Champion squad. In 96 career games, he posted two goals and 13 assists for 15 points and 41 penalty minutes to go with a plus-8 rating.

Sargent will take to the ice with Pee Dee against Columbus on Friday night at 7:35 pm as the IceCats round out the regular season. Single game playoff tickets are on sale now via the Florence Center Box Office and online at TicketMaster.com. Opponent and game date and time are to be determined by final seeding after this weekend's games. For more information email tickets@peedeeprohockey.com.
